RITE OF CHRISTIAN INITIATION OF ADULTS (RCIA)
The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) is a ministry through which interested adults go through a process of conversion to Jesus Christ and an initiation into the Catholic Church. As a precatechumeate, adults meet informally as a group to learn more about Catholic tradition and beliefs. After the Rite of Acceptance, catechumens and candidates for full communion must attend the Sunday Masses for the liturgy and are dismissed to the Ministry Center to continue their reflection on the Gospel as a group. Those who are called to the Easter sacraments celebrate the Rite of Election on the first Sunday of Lent and full initiation at the Easter Vigil.

This group of parishioners puts on workshops throughout the year to help prepare engaged couples for marriage in the Catholic Church. The Engaged Couples class is a required program for couples planning to marry in the Catholic Church and provides an opportunity for couples to communicate their individual and shared priorities, values, and goals before they begin their life together. Married team members lead this program and share their experiences and the expectations and challenges of marriage.
NATURAL FAMILY PLANNING CLASSES
Natural Family Planning (NFP) is a method that can help couples, even those struggling with fertility problems, to be able to achieve pregnancy. It can be used by all couples throughout their fertile years, including postpartum and pre-menopause. It can even be effectively practiced by women who have irregular cycles. Several times a year, NFP classes are offered at our parish Ministry Center by a married couple, fully trained and certified by the Couple to Couple League (CCL). Through the CCL, we aim to build strong, holy marriages by teaching fertility awareness. We are also aware of other methods that are taught in the diocese.
